A throw back to where it all began - our gift to you.
Edition #1
A special treat for you all. Each release brings with it new friends of Gippslandia, many of which haven't had the opportunity to follow from the beginning.
The news this week of both AGL and Yallourn bringing forward their closure dates, has had us thinking back to where it all began for Gippslandia.
So let's roll back to summer 2016, we'd just learned that Engie were closing the Hazelwood Power Station, our region was surrounded by negative press, we felt it was time to share some tales of optimism, to bring some of the unique qualities and greatness of our region into the spotlight. Gippslandia was born.
This was just the beginning, there was no plan beyond Edition 1. Six years and 24 editions later we've got our partners and advertisers to thank for making it possible and keeping it free, our contributors for showcasing their incredible talents and distribution outlets and readers for making them disappear so quickly.
Enjoy the read.
