Beeswax food wraps
Do your bit to help our environment and planet by saying no to plastic wrap and using these eco-friendly food wraps.
Our beeswax wraps are made by infusing 100% cotton material with beeswax harvested from our apiaries in South Gippsland, pine resin and jojoba oil, they make a great reusable and environmentally friendly substitute for plastic cling wrap.
Your beeswax wrap should last at least 12 months and then can be disposed of in the compost.
How do they work:
Beeswax prevents your food from drying out by acting as a barrier and sealing in the moisture. Beeswax also has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and antiviral properties. Pine resin gives the wraps some stick so it will adhere to a bowl for example and jojoba oil gives the wrap flexibility.
Looking after your wax food wrap :
Simply rinse the wrap under cold water and wipe with a sponge, drape over dish rack to dry, fold wrap up when dry and store till next time
A gentle detergent may be used when wiping clean.
Do not rinse under warm or hot water as beeswax will melt.
